Sichuan Huayu Vehicle Leaf Spring Co., Ltd. announces an upgraded material strategy for our leaf spring and truck suspension product lines, covering multi-leaf springs, parabolic leaf springs, trailer springs, bus suspension springs, and stabilizer bar leaves. By partnering with reputable mills such as Fangda Special Steel and Baowu, every heat is traceable and verified to our in-house spring-steel standards for chemistry, tensile/yield strength, hardenability, and fatigue resistance—key to reliable heavy-duty truck suspension systems.
Material portfolio optimized for suspension performance:
A.65Mn spring steel – Cost-effective solution for small-section leaf springs in light-duty suspensions; suitable for auxiliary leaves, helper springs, and agricultural/trailer applications where durability and value matter.
B.60Si2Mn / SUP6 silicon-manganese spring steel – The global workhorse for automotive leaf springs with a strong balance of strength and toughness. Ideal for truck suspension main leaves, clip leaves, and spring packs operating under cyclic bending and road shock;
C.55Cr3 / SUP9 chromium spring steel – Higher hardenability for thicker sections and demanding loads. Ensures through-section properties after heat treatment, making it a prime choice for heavy-duty truck and semi-trailer suspension, stabilizer bar leaves, and large-section multi-leaf designs.
We strictly match grade to section thickness and spring design. Materials falling outside our qualified window are not used for ultra-thick traditional leaves or special structures (e.g., certain parabolic/guide-arm designs) to protect fatigue life and road safety.
Process control that turns steel into suspension reliability
1.Incoming inspection: Each batch is tested against our leaf spring steel specification (chemistry, tensile/yield, cleanliness).
2.Heat treatment discipline: Grade-specific austenitizing, quenching, and tempering recipes secure consistent hardness, resilience, and camber retention for truck suspension springs.
3.Fatigue & corrosion protection: Shot peening increases fatigue life; electrophoretic primer + top-coat options resist rust in harsh fleet conditions.
4.Full traceability: Heat-to-spring tracking for stable quality across OEM production and aftermarket service.
